Hiking Trail

A recent acrylic painting based on a picture I took while on a hike in Short Hills Provincial Park.  It's only about 8" x 10".  I think next I'll try to do a much bigger one!

Life drawing

Went to a life drawing session recently - first time in a loooong time.  I need to do this more, it was great.

The entire second half of the class was one long pose, so I broke out my watercolours.  Her costume was fun - she really was wearing a lime green wig!

A tree by the pier

A watercolour sketch of a tree by a pier.  The tree was fun to paint. 

Wine glass

I wanted to do a study of light and reflections on glass.  It turned out fairly well, I think.  For future reference, I'll need to work on fabric and drapery.  :)

Camping

I'm just back from a weekend camping trip up at Grundy Lake Provincial Park.  Here's a quick watercolour sketch I did while sitting on the beach.

Canoe Paddle

Here's something from last Christmas.  I had been asked to decorate a paddle (handmade by my dad), and this is the result.  It turned out to be a fun project!
